RMIT Design Grad Shows 2024

RMIT Design Grad Shows 2024 is a campus-wide public exhibition supported by a modular visual system, bringing together three disciplines across print, spatial, and digital environments. Translating exhibition ethos “three programme; one discipline” into a graphic framework, we created a collaborative system for the infrastructural design practice. It supports navigation in collective experience within a complex institutional setting.

 Spatial graphic coordinator
 Exhibition-wide visual framework facilitator

Key task
 Developed a modular visual system within spatial, print, and digital formats
 Coordinated visual application across three disciplines and exhibition sites
 Supported wayfinding, information hierarchy, and audience navigation in a large-scale exhibition

Applied consistently across print, spatial, and digital formats.
Modular Visual Language

Designs flexible visual systems using across spatial, print, and digital formats, supporting projects that involve multiple contributors and evolving content.

System development discussions exploring how modular graphic elements adapt across disciplines and formats.
Testing visual consistency and variation through poster layouts and compositional rules.
Reviewing system logic and visual hierarchy with teaching staff and project collaborators.
Prototyping and refining printed outputs to ensure scalability and reproducibility.

Wayfinding & Public Navigation

We developed wayfinding and spatial graphics that support orientation, and user movement in public and exhibition contexts.

Mapping visitor flow and identifying key decision points within a multi-site exhibition layout.

Visual communication in infrastructural support for navigation and orientation.

Feedback from Team

Layout and content discussions with the RMIT management team, reviewing spatial plans and schedule information to ensure wayfinding accuracy and prevent misinterpretation across exhibition sites.

Wayfinding signal for programme name.
Applying the visual system across social media and digital platforms to support information sharing, schedule updates, and public access beyond the physical exhibition space.

A shared pile. A held story. A shifting system. A lived corner.
